The Pechersk Lavra Cave Monastery in Kiev The Pechersk Lavra (Cave Monastery) in Kiev, is one of the oldest monasteries in Easte Europe, is the spiritual center and the holy city in Ukraine, not surprisingly, on the UNESCO list of World Heritage. The Lavra was more than a thousand years, through a labyrinth of caves under the hill, which today in Kiev.
