A magical Kingdom of Bhutan Many people have never heard of Bhutan, a country that values Gross National Happiness over Gross National Product! Bhutan is a small country landlocked about the size of Switzerland. E 'is bounded to the north and north-west Tibet, with India, touching the remaining boundaries a little' and Nepal to the west. Virtually the entire country is mountainous, reaching 24,777 feet north to south, with three geographic regions, the high Himalayas in the north, the hills and valleys of the center, and the foot and the plains of the south. For centuries, Bhutan has remained isolated from the rest of the world. Since its doors were opened in 1974, visitors were fascinated by the beautiful and unspoilt country and the people hospitable and charming.
