There is something for everyone in New Zealand, North Island, Part 1 You're thinking about your next vacation? Want to go somewhere exotic? If you do not look beyond New Zealand. Maybe you like restaurants, excursions, as perhaps you, perhaps you are an adventure junkie, or perhaps just to relax on the beach. New Zealand has everything. New Zealand comprises two main islands. They are very different in terms of scenery and two islands are packed with a variety of vacation options. The north has 2 major cities, Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand, by far, with a population of 1.2 million people. Still not that big cities in most countries, but is very large land wise. Auckland is situated in the northe part of North Island and is the principal port for travelers entering the country. The other great Wellington is the city that lies at the southe tip of North Island. Wellington is the capital of New Zealand, and is an efficient ferry service connecting the North and South Island. The summer holidays are the following, but not limited to these areas, because there are many more supply. Bay of Islands: Located approximately 160 miles or 260 km north of Auckland, this region consists of 144 islands and bays. This region has a temperate climate and very well equipped for visitors. There are a range of accommodation and many things to do to keep you busy. Many activities are centered around the water, wherever you are, you will be surrounded by water containing abundant marine life. If you're a fisherman, you're in paradise. Auckland: Approximately one third of the entire population of New - Zealand, lives in the greater Auckland region. If you like shopping, beaches or sailing, you can spend your time in Auckland. Auckland has often been voted the best city to live in the world with a great cosmopolitan city and port and beaches nearby. As in any large city, there are many quality restaurants, cultural activities and department stores as it is a beautiful harbor, numerous water sports. Rotorua: Rotorua is a unique area of New Zealand. Located about 2? hours drive from Auckland, this is an area that has a very strong Maori history and many cultural activities are concentrated around this story. An odor of sulfur attacks the nose, as you drive, but it is early in Rotorua and no longer heard. You will also notice in the air steam from geothermal activity and around the city. Rotorua has a long reputation of the spa town and has recently undergone a renaissance, offering a variety of treatments. Rotorua has accommodation ranging from basic to luxurious, and much of it. Taupo: Taupo is situated about an hour's drive from Rotorua in central North Island. It 'also a spa with geyser and mud pools. The town is built around the famous Lake Taupo, the module was created by a large volcanic eruption. The lake is famous for trout fishing. Hawkes Bay: The Hawkes Bay is a beautiful area on the east coast of North Island of New Zealand. The area consists of 2 major cities, Napier and Hastings. Napier is a very interesting city because it is the highest concentration of Art Deco buildings from around the world after being almost destroyed by a strong earthquake in 1931. Hawkes Bay is a great company, one of the hottest and sunniest areas of New Zealand. There are about 40 wineries that offer a variety of red and white wines. Many wineries are wineries and restaurants so there is great opportunity to try the wines of the region. Wairarapa The Wairarapa, until about 20 years odd, there is a sleepy area that seems to be taken in another era. No more! There are over 300 bars and restaurants in the city, the highest concentration per capita of almost anywhere in the world. Wellington is rich in culture and the arts and has a calendar of events of failure, and numerous museums and art galleries to visit. Shopping and restaurants are also excellent in Wellington at all, if you consider to be funky, intellectual or simply indulgent.
